There is a skating rink near the river in Tuscaloosa this year, and we finally went today. This is the first time they have both been on skates, and the first time I have skated in more than 20 years. We were able to get double-bladed skates for both kids, but they were still slippin, sliding, and falling all over the place! We went with our friends Lani & Ember, who helped out with Savannah & Gage - thank you!!! Savannah said she fell down about 100 times (correct), and at one point, Gage lost his balance and in the process of trying to steady him, I lost my balance and we both fell on our behinds. He wanted me to carry him at that point, but I convinced him to get up and keep on trying. Really fun day :-)
